How accessible these website are
We believe that all our websites are fully accessible but as they are working sites updated regularly very often with third party material it may be in the future that this is not always so. The issue with PDF file formats is one that each Parish Council will have to consider. Currently it is recommended that documents be published as HTML web pages rather than PDF documents. This could have huge implications for Parish Councils but currently is only a recommendation not a requirement.
Grasshopper Hosting use a web accessibility checker (Wave Web Accessibility Tool Link to Wave) to monitor all aspects of our websites . It should be noted that web accessibility checkers do not tell the whole story, particularly when authoring sites in WordPress has some limitations of the way code can be edited.
One such error this is a known issue with the Google Captcha system and is beyond our control. Wave reports this as an error but actually is part of the Captcha coding and would not affect accessibility in any way. Due to the fact that it is in the site template it will appear as an error on every page. To tamper with this would compromise the security of the website.
Wave will also report contrast errors. Contrast errors reported are not relevant as the accessibility menu addresses this issue.
